Bayonne Golf ClubNew York Harbour, New JerseyThis high end private golf club was developed on a landfill on the New Jersey shore, directly across from New York City. Dr. Richard Hurley of Rutgers University consulted with the developers on every step of this project, from soils and sand used, to design elements, choice of grasses and shrubs, etc. Dr. Hurley specified that the project be planted 100% with grass seed varieties from Seed Research of Oregon. This uniquely designed links-style course has received many high reviews from golf publications and players. |

Wilmington Country ClubWilmington, DEThis old, high-end country club had a major renovation in 2007/2008. Certified golf superintendent Dan Pierson discussed his grass variety choices with Dr. Richard Hurley, Dr. Leah Brilman and the other agronomic staff at Seed Research of Oregon while working on his plans. TYEE creeping bentgrass was planted on his renovated greens, and the fairways were converted to 007 creeping bentgrass. |

Chambers Bay Golf CourseIssaquah, WashingtonThis is the future site of the 2015 U.S. Open, and was the host of the 2010 U.S. Amateur Tournament. This is a Robert Trent Jones course that received a lot of positive press and media attention as it converted an abandoned mining area into a great golf course with positive impacts on the environment and wildlife in the area. Construction started in 2006 and was completed in 2007. This course was the winner of the Golf Industry Magazine, 2008 Creative Award. Seed Research of Oregon supplied 100% of the grass seed used on this project, as Dr. Leah Brilman worked closely with her associate Dr. Gwen Stahnke from Washington State University to develop specifications for the golf course. |

FIFA 2010 World Cup™ Soccer FieldsCape Town, South AfricaSeed Research of Oregon, through its South African distributor Agricol, provided seed for 75 game and practice pitches in new stadiums, as well as for a number of renovated ones for the 2010 World Cup soccer games.

The Gallery Golf ClubMarana, ArizonaThe Accenture Match Play Championship golf tournament took place here in 2008. All 36 greens are 100% SR bentgrass. In summer 2009, the 18 North Course greens were renovated and Superintendent Paul Ellwood took the opportunity to update the bentgrass on these greens, to better handle the shaded and cooler conditions in the canyons of tje course. Paul direct-seeded a custom Dominant formula (50% 007 + 25% SR1119 + 25% Brighton). The green are showing exceptional winter color and active growth. The John Fought designed South Course, with excellent views across the open desert to the nearby city of Tucson, winds down through lower native desert and was planted in 2003, using Dominant Southern Creeping Bentgrass Blend (Brighton + SR1119) on the 18 greens. |

Greens on the new course were seeded with 007 Creeping Bentgrass, while the tees were seeded with Dominant Extreme-7 Creeping Bentgrass Blend, and the fairways to a blend of Kentucky Bluegrass varieties.

The Course at Wente VineyardsLivermore, CaliforniaThe Nationwide Tour plays The Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship in California at The Course at Wente Vineyards. Built in the late 1990s, the Dominant Creeping Bentgrass greens are still in great shape with excellent maintenance and strong growth to keep out Poa annua. Fairways, tees and roughs are all planted with SRO cool season turf products and are reported in great shape for the tournament. |
