Adapted to the intermountain Ponderosa Pine forests from Mexico to Colorado; very similar to F. idahoensis except with stiffer, glaucus foliage; grows to 3’; very dense root system; leaves have a blue-green hue; commonly found between 6,000’ and 10,000’ elevation; very competitive once mature; best suited to sandy loam to loam soils, adapted to gravelly textures; wide range of growing conditions from meadows/valleys to steep slopes.

Drill seeded to 1/2" deep at 5 pounds PLS/acre.
