Adapted throughout most of North America; grows to 4’; shallowly rooted; very fibrous; not competitive; common on disturbed and moist soils; very good seedling vigor; short lived perennial grass; commonly used with other grasses as a soil stabilizer, or temporary cover crop; often planted with sweet clover.

Drill seeded to 1" at 12-15 pounds PLS/acre. 160,000 seeds/pound.

Germination in 21 days.
