Adapted to most northern climates of North America; grows to 3'; excellent shade and drought tolerance; poor heat tolerance; rhizomatous, good soil stabilization; well suited to most soil textures, best adapted to drier, less fertile, coarse soil conditions; commonly used in turf; genotypes include: 'Slender Creeping' and 'Strong Creeping'.

Drill seeded at 10–15 pounds PLS/acre 1/2” deep. 400,000 seeds/pound.

Germination in less than 14 days during the spring or fall.
