Native/adapted to Texas, southern New Mexico and Arizona; grows to 4'; best suited to deep sandy soils, common on rocky hills and canyons; moderate tolerance of alkaline and saline soils; not well adapted to wet, poorly drained soils, not usually the dominant grass in community; very good drought tolerance; quick to establish, good soil stabilizer.

Drill seeded to 1/2” deep at 4–6 pounds PLS/acre. 538,000 seeds/pound.
