Hard Fescue

Adapted to most of North America north of the transition zone; grows to < 3'; well suited to low fertility management regimes; adapted to wide range of soil textures, marginal in heavy, moist clay soils; good shade tolerance; moderate to good drought tolerance; often found in turf.

Drill seeded at 10–15 pounds PLS/acre 1/2” deep. 500,000 to 530,000 seeds/pound.

Germination in less than 14 days during the spring or fall.
