Adapted to temperate coastal regions, North Carolina to Maine, Washington to Oregon and Michigan; grows to 3’; rhizomatous; tolerant of wet, acidic soils (4.0–4.5 pH).

Seeded at 12–15 pounds PLS/acre alone or 1–10 pounds PLS/acre in mixture. 580,000 seeds/pound.

Germination in 14 days, early spring.
