Well adapted to the northern plains and intermountain states; grows to 3’; best adapted to dry, silty and clayey soils; some varieties very tolerant of saline and sodic conditions; similar in appearance to Crested Wheatgrass; poor establishment due to weak seedling vigor; excellent drought and cold hardiness.

Drill seeded to 1" deep at 12-15 pounds PLS/acre. 160,000 seeds/pound.

Germination in 21 days.
