Native/adapted to the central Great Plains of North America; grows to 5’; adapted to deep, sandy and sandy-loam soils; found in open prairies and wooded sites (often on northern and eastern slopes where moisture is abundant); starts re-growth earlier than most other C-4 plants; holds green color well into fall; quick cover crop; excellent bird habitat and wildlife habitat.

Drill seeded to 1/4" – 1/2" deep at 2 pounds PLS/acre. 1,500,000 seeds/pound.

Germination in less than 14 days, spring/late summer.
