Chambers Bay Golf Course

Issaquah, Washington

This is the future site of the 2015 U.S. Open, and was the host of the 2010 U.S. Amateur Tournament.

This is a Robert Trent Jones course that received a lot of positive press and media attention as it converted an abandoned mining area into a great golf course with positive impacts on the environment and wildlife in the area.

Construction started in 2006 and was completed in 2007. This course was the winner of the Golf Industry Magazine, 2008 Creative Award. Seed Research of Oregon supplied 100% of the grass seed used on this project, as Dr. Leah Brilman worked closely with her associate Dr. Gwen Stahnke from Washington State University to develop specifications for the golf course.
